Story

Kgotso Letsoalo, who matriculated from Hope School Johannesburg in 2023, has been a beneficiary of the Jumping Kids Prosthetic Fund for his entire school career.

As a one-year-old, Kgotso contracted Septic Meningitis which resulted in the amputation of both his legs. In 2011, when Kgotso started grade one, he became a Jumping Kids beneficiary and has received assistance with his prosthetic equipment ever since.

“Jumping Kids gave me legs to walk, run, move around with, and to participate in my favorite activity – sport. The charity also assisted me with an educational bursary. All of that combined to change my life”.

Now matriculated, Kgotso plans to continue to participate in sport while working towards achieving a law degree.
