Muhluri was born with fibular Hemimelia, a congenital condition that causes the absence of the fibula and it is the most common congenital absence of long bone of the extremities.
On 17 January 2023 she underwent a bilateral below-knee amputation and became a beneficiary of the Jumping Kids Prosthetic Fund.
Since her amputation and the subsequent fitment of her first prostheses, Muhluri has developed into an active, happy young girl who loves to play with her friends and moving around on her prosthetic equipment.
Early intervention, in cases like Muhluri’s, plays a vital role to ensure youngsters living with lower limb amputation can develop on par with their able-body peers and can engage in all the fun associated with the early development phase of childhood.
Muhluri was selected as a The Star Foundation candidate in 2024.
