Paralympian, Tyrone Pillay has been a Jumping Kids charity ambassador since our launch in 2009.

In 2013 he hosted the StepUp500 fundraising event in aid of Jumping Kids and has made a positive impact on many young beneficiaries who look up to him as a role model and hero on the athletics field.

Specializing in the men’s shot put F63 event, Tyrone won bronze for South Africa at the Rio 2016 Paralympics and represented his country again at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021.

In 2024, the Global Team Toyota Athlete announced his retirement from competitive athletics following a fifteen year legacy in the shot put circle across the country and world.
