Reflecting on 2025

Jumping Kids celebrates another year of significant impact in the three focus areas that make up the pillars of our philosophy – mobility, school, and sport. From providing access to mobility equipment, facilitating opportunities for our kids to access quality education, and helping to create more sports participation opportunities presented many opportunities for growth.

We are grateful to our donors, sponsors, and supporters that enable us to do the work.

2025 started with sending three promising young South Africans; Simnikiwe Bosman, Bongani Mahlangu, and Edwin Nelson; to participate in The Dream Program in Korea where they had the opportunity to train in a variety of para winter sports codes.

Following that, Jumping Kids added its support for four young para-athletes; Jayden van Heerden (pictured), Kitso Mokolometsa, Arno Graaff, and Enzo Espag; to participate and get internationally classified at the Dubai 2025 Para Athletics Grand Prix.

Our collaboration with Tennis South Africa and wheelchair tennis coach, Patrick Selepe, went from strength to strength this year culminating in Selepe accompanying three promising young players to a wheelchair tennis youth camp in Japan with support from Jumping Kids at the end of the year.

In education, Jumping Kids celebrate five beneficiaries who are matriculating from top schools in 2025. We even celebrate our first university graduate in the form of Bongani Mahlangu, a former beneficiary who is now a Jumping Kids ambassador who completed his LLB Law Degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA) this year.

In addition to facilitating access to various schools for beneficiaries from across the country, Jumping Kids also invested in some of the schools themselves by assisting selected institutions with facility upgrades and development plans.

Success achieved in sport and in school is reliant on our ability to provide new and upgraded mobility equipment to the children living with limb related physical challenges that we serve.

In 2025, Jumping Kids supplied and maintained over 200 assistive devices for the beneficiaries we support. We invested over R 500 000 in educational bursary support, and over R 1 000 000 in sports sponsorships and support.

Collaborations with The Star Foundation and Lottostar’s Deal or No Deal Celebrity South Africa game show went a long way to raise public awareness of Jumping Kids while raising valuable funds to help service our beneficiaries’ prosthetic equipment needs.
